Watch TV Shows on Sundance TV

Sundance TV, originally known as the Sundance Channel, is an American television channel currently owned by AMC Networks. It began solely as a premium movie channel, expanding into original programming in the early 2000's with shows such as 'TransGeneration' and 'City of Men.' In 2008, Rainbow Media, now known as AMC Networks, purchased the Sundance Channel and caused a marked increase in documentaries and unscripted series.

Most of these series did not make it past the first season. However, in 2012, the channel's first miniseries 'Carlos' was aired, which hinted at the new direction the channel would be taking. Its second miniseries 'Restless' received two Emmy nominations, paving the way for its next miniseries, the seven-part 'Top of the Lake,' which earned eight. By 2013, the channel became fully ad supported.

In 2014, the Sundance Channel announced that they would be rebranding, changing their name to Sundance TV and featuring a new logo. The channel now features many original programs and series, as well as a news about the yearly Sundance Film Festival and a variety of films and documentaries. Sundance TV has since launched in several international areas including several European countries such as the Netherlands, France, Poland, and Greece, as well as Asian countries like South Korea and Malaysia.
