Christina Applegate stars as "Samantha Who," a bad girl who gets a second chance at life when she is hit by a car and winds up with retrograde amnesia. But that isn't what the actress feels is the key to the series' success. She feels that people -- herself included -- enjoy the series for its journey of self discovery as Sam, who she describes as "awesome," tries to find out who she is. "I smile a lot more now that I am doing this show because I feel I am on a show that is good. I am on a show that I can be a fan of," the former "Married with Children star" said in an interview. That interview took place shortly before Christina was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer, from which her reps say she "will have a full recovery."
