140 Days Under the World is a New Zealand documentary short about Antarctica. The film covers a summer in the lives of the scientists who were working and studying at the Scott Base laboratory. Geologists, physicists and biologists are among the researchers who worked there. The film also shows the ship HMNZS Endeavor bringing the scientists supplies, aided by icebreakers from the US Navy that cleared a path for her. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short.
