35 and Ticking

35 and Ticking is a romantic comedy, directed by Russ Parr, and produced by Russ Parr & Kym Whitley. The actors that are the featured cast members are: Tamala Jones (as Victoria), Nicole Ari Parker (as Zenobia), Kevin Hart (as Cleavon), Keith Robinson (as Phil), Meagan Good (as Falinda) and Jill Marie Jones (Coco). The movie is about four friends who are 35 and over. The four friends are still trying to figure out how love, marriage and life fits into their individual perspectives. When the 4 friends were young, they all pictured a happy and perfect outcome. Unfortunately, life hasn't turned out that way for the four of them.

The story is set into two different stages of the characters life. The movie begins when Victoria and Zenobia were young kids in the early 80's. They were innocent and were naively planning their lives. They pictured themselves being married with kids, and living right next to one another. In present time of film Victoria is married. She is with a man who has no interest in having kids. Zenobia her best friend is still single as well.

Within the group of friends, Phil is married to Coco and they have kids with one another. Unlike Phil, Coco is not really into the idea of caring much for her children.

Cleavon is unique, he is single and has limited skills to approach women in order for him to establish a relationship. At Zenobia's 37 Birthday party, he meets a beautiful woman (Falinda); and even if she was trying to converse with Cleavon, he let her go without asking her phone number. And if this was not bad enough, he also hides the way he earns money, which is by donating his semen to a sperm bank.

Through the ups and downs that they experienced, the four friends continue to try and find their way through the film. There is a real attempt to alter the course that their relationship paths had been previously going.
