9 Dead Gay Guys is a British black comedy movie, released in 2002. The plot revolves around two Irish lads named Kenny (Glenn Mulhern) and Byron (Brendan Mackey) who arrive in London with hopes of making it big in the modeling industry but instead get caught in the criminal underworld of Soho. The two amateur hustlers quickly find themselves in trouble when they are caught stealing from a notorious gangster, Balthazar (Steven Berkoff).

Balthazar is infamous for his brutal ways of punishment and assigns the two wannabes a task that could make them rich, but with strings attached. He wants the two of them to collect some money from various gay men in the city who have inherited a large sum of money, but must die to receive it. The catch is that they must be gay, hence the title "9 Dead Gay Guys." When Kenny and Byron's initial attempts to find willing men to carry out the gruesome plan prove futile, they soon realize that they themselves would have to fake being gay to lure the potential targets in.

The two protagonists go through a wild and crazy journey, encountering a plethora of peculiar characters like Daddy who runs a gay pub characterized by an overtly sexual atmosphere and outrageous performances. Also, they meet the eccentric and flamboyant Mr. Big (Michael Praed), who owns a drag queen club that is in league with Balthazar. Along the way, the two men engage in absurd and hilarious situations, all while trying to stay away from Balthazar, who is becoming increasingly impatient for the job to be done.

Throughout the film, the audience is introduced to a series of over-the-top gay stereotypes that are demonstrated in a way that is both offensive and humorous at times. The movie makes no apologies for its caricatures although it is worth noting that it was met with mixed reviews upon its release because of its homophobia.

The cinematography is typical of British cinema with a lot of close-up shots and the use of color filters to enhance the mood of the film. The movie's soundtrack includes a mix of disco, funk, and classical music to create a cheesy, comical tone throughout the feature.

In conclusion, 9 Dead Gay Guys is a dark but entertaining comedy that successfully lampoons some of the most persistent stereotypes of gay culture in a way that will offend some, and make others laugh out loud. The film has moments of cringe-worthy humor and is not for the faint-hearted, but overall, it is a witty and satirical feature. Although the movie may not be everyone's cup of tea, it is recommended for those who enjoy black comedy and are looking for a good laugh.

9 Dead Gay Guys is a 2003 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 23 minutes. It has received poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.2 and a MetaScore of 21.
