A Night at the Roxbury is a comedy film from 1998 that follows two dim-witted brothers, Steve (Will Ferrell) and Doug Butabi (Chris Kattan), who dream of making it big in the nightclub scene of Los Angeles. The duo frequents The Roxbury, a popular nightclub where they always get rejected by women and bouncers. They are convinced that their ticket to success lies in getting inside the club and making it big in the scene.

The brothers also work in their father's fake flower shop but have ambitions to break into the club scene and dominate the dance floors with their signature move, the "head nod." When they are out cruising around town, the song "What is Love" by Haddaway comes on the radio, and they cannot resist the urge to start bopping their heads.

Their father, who considers himself an expert in the clubbing world, tells his sons that they need to impress the club's owner, Mr. Zadir (Chazz Palminteri), to get into the club. When the boys accidentally rear-end Zadir's car, they see it as an opportunity to get close to him and realize their dreams.

Steve and Doug are invited to a party at Zadir's mansion, where Doug falls in love with a girl named Vivica (Gigi Rice), and Steve becomes smitten with Mr. Zadir's wife, Emily (Molly Shannon). The brothers' antics provide plenty of laughs and hijinks as they try to impress their love interests and break into the Hollywood club scene.

The film is a lighthearted comedy that pokes fun at the 90s clubbing culture and the pursuit of fame and fortune. Steve and Doug's antics are endearing, and their brotherly bond is endearing. Their journey is also relatable as they struggle to break free from their mundane lives to achieve their dreams.

The performances by the lead actors, particularly Kattan and Ferrell, are excellent, and they have great chemistry together. The comedy is silly but fun, and the dance sequences and soundtrack are well done. The supporting cast, including Raquel Gardner as the girls at the Roxbury and Richard Grieco as himself, also provide memorable performances.

Overall, A Night at the Roxbury is a fun summer comedy that delivers plenty of laughs and nostalgia for anyone who has ever dreamed of being the life of the party. The film is a classic example of 90s humor and is worth watching for anyone looking for a good time.

A Night at the Roxbury is a 1998 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 21 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.2 and a MetaScore of 26.
