One lonely Friday evening, businessman Takeshi Miyati received a phone call from his longtime friend, Detective Yusuke Kanda. When the detective mentions that Ayumi, Takeshi's former girlfriend, is engaged to be married, Takeshi is inspired to re-enter the dating world. But when Takeshi has dinner with lonely Maki, he quickly finds out that she has her own emotional baggage to deal with. Later, Takeshi is forced to act when he finds out that Ayumi's life is not as placid and happy as it seems.
