A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas is the third installment in the film series following the adventures of Harold Lee (John Cho) and Kumar Patel (Kal Penn). The film was released in 2011 and directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson. The story follows the two friends as they embark on a wild and hilarious escapade to find the perfect Christmas tree after Kumar accidentally burns down Harold's father-in-law's beloved tree.

Harold and Kumar have grown up and drifted apart, but fate brings them back together when a mysterious package arrives at Kumar's doorstep that is meant for Harold. In the package, there is a special item that will bring the two friends together again and set them off on a wild adventure through New York City.

The movie starts with Harold and his wife Maria (Paula Garcés) on a mission to decorate their perfect Christmas tree, but Harold is disappointed when they receive a "perfectly symmetrical" tree instead of the "full and bushy" one he asked for. Kumar, on the other hand, is not in the holiday spirit and has been dumped by his girlfriend, Vanessa (Danneel Harris), who he desperately wants back.

When Kumar shows up at Harold's doorstep unannounced to give him the package that was mistakenly delivered to him, he accidentally sets Harold's father-in-law's favorite Christmas tree on fire with a joint. In an attempt to make things right, they set out to find a replacement tree before Maria and her father return home from midnight mass. Their search leads them to a series of outrageous mishaps, including a run-in with Ukrainian gangsters, a baby accidentally overdosing on cocaine, and even Santa Claus himself (played by Patton Oswalt).

The film is filled with nods to Christmas classics like It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol, as well as subtle references to the previous Harold & Kumar movies. In keeping with the spirit of the series, the film incorporates a mix of stoner-comedy, political satire, and social commentary. Neil Patrick Harris reprises his role as a fictionalized version of himself, and his storyline involves him struggling with his sexuality and tapping into his inner Grinch.

The movie is shot in 3D, which allows for some fun and inventive visual gags, especially during a claymation sequence featuring a Jesus Christ figure who helps Harold and Kumar on their quest. The special effects and cinematography are impressive, showcasing the festive and colorful world of New York City during the holiday season.

Overall, A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas is a fun and entertaining comedy that will keep audiences laughing throughout its runtime. The film offers a unique take on the traditional Christmas movie and has something for everyone - from fans of the original Harold & Kumar films to those looking for a wacky and irreverent holiday movie.

A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas is a 2011 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.2 and a MetaScore of 61.
