Adaikalam is a 2006 Tamil film. It is a film about a doctor, Anbu, and his family. Anbu's sister is scheduled to be married, and in the excitement of the wedding preparations their mother drops dead. Anbu's uncle urges him to be friendly with estranged his father and include him in the wedding. Anbu and his sister grew up without their father and do not know why he left. When Anbu is angry at the idea of being friendly with his father, his uncle decides that it is time for him to hear the truth about his family's past.
