This is a documentary movie about a family who owes the IRS money. Their house is taken for back taxes. This is the story of their fight. In 1989, the IRS seized a couple's house for back taxes and penalties. The couple refused to leave the house. Two years later, the IRS is accompanied by Federal Marshalls. They arrest the husband. The wife stays in the house, and members of the local community join her there.

The house is eventually sold at auction, far below its value. The couple and their supporters still refuse to leave. Lawsuits are filed and the court must make a decision.
