Watch Anatomy

The film Anatomy is a German movie that came out in the year 2000. It is one of the many horror films that have come out. In Germany the movie was a big success at the box office and as a result the film production company Columbia Pictures released an English language version in the United States. Since it is a horror film it will likely be very popular and worth watching for fans of this genre. This movie has a sequel which came out a few years later in 2003 so it has multiple parts of the main story.

The movie story deals with medical students. A medical student named Paula Henning gets to study a summer course at a high ranking German medical school. She has a grandfather that made a drug known as Promidal. Once she discovers an A mark on a man named David’s ankle she begins to investigate the situation. She finds out that a secret group of medical investigators who would do tests on live humans. Meanwhile two other students named Hein and Gretchen begin to have strained relations and Gretchen decides to date another man. At the same time Paula goes back to her room, sits on her bed and feels wetness. It turns out that the bed is soaked with blood and she is attacked by a man. Her romantic partner, comes in the room and is angry that she is not in her room by herself. Hein and Gretchen continue to have differences with one another and therefore Hein gets very jealous. He murders the guy that Gretchen is dating and injects poison into her as well. It turns out that the drug Paula’s grandfather discovered was used in Nazi Concentration camps. Later on in the film Paula and Casper are trapped in the school by Hein. However they escape and they discuss how Hein was very good at studying and preserving bodies to make medical discoveries.

For those who enjoy horror movies, this will be among the most intriguing. Unlike other movies that are simply one’s about killers, this is a movie with medical themes to it. As a result viewers will get to see a horror story take place in a medical setting. This makes the story more intriguing and adds some depth to it. Anatomy was probably among the top horror movies of the year due to its story, pacing and themes about medicine. It contained elements of drama and was a thriller as well. Due to these factors it was a very good and high quality movie that viewers will likely enjoy.
