Arctic Blue is a 1993 action-thriller movie directed by Peter Masterson and written by Ross LaManna. The movie stars Rutger Hauer as a diamond prospector named Ben Corbett, Dylan Walsh as a bounty hunter named Eric Desmond, and Rya Kihlstedt as a native Alaskan named Marie. The story revolves around Ben Corbett, who discovers a massive diamond field in the remote wilderness of Alaska. However, before he can claim his discovery, his helicopter crash-lands, and he is forced to trek back to civilization through the Alaskan wilderness. Meanwhile, a group of ruthless mercenaries led by Robert Durant (played by R.H. Thomson), are dispatched to retrieve the diamonds from Corbett.

Enter Eric Desmond, a skilled bounty hunter who is also on the trail of Corbett. Desmond is working for a wealthy businessman named Richardson (played by Kevin Cooney) who wants the diamonds for himself. Desmond manages to find Corbett, but they are ambushed by Durant and his men. Desmond and Corbett are forced to team up to survive in the wilderness and avoid the mercenaries, who are hot on their heels.

As they progress through the frozen landscape, Desmond and Corbett encounter Marie, a native Alaskan woman who provides them with shelter and food. However, they soon discover that even she is not as she appears, and danger lurks around every corner. The trio must work together to keep themselves alive while trying to outwit the mercenaries and prevent the diamonds from falling into the wrong hands.

Arctic Blue is an intense, adrenaline-fueled thriller that takes audiences on a wild ride through the frozen wilderness of Alaska. The snowy landscapes are breathtakingly beautiful, but at the same time, they add to the sense of danger and isolation felt by the characters. The film highlights the harsh realities of life in the wilderness, such as the lack of resources, the dangers of hypothermia, and the constant threat of wildlife.

The characters are all well-developed and have their unique motivations, which add to the tension of the story. Rutger Hauer delivers a powerhouse performance as the prospector, Ben Corbett, and his rugged and experienced demeanor perfectly captures the essence of a man who has spent his life in the wilderness. Dylan Walsh is also excellent as Eric Desmond, the bounty hunter who is initially portrayed as an antagonist but later proves to be a valuable ally. Rya Kihlstedt's character, Marie, is a mysterious figure whose presence adds a sense of intrigue and danger to the story.

Overall, Arctic Blue is a thrilling and action-packed adventure that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. With stellar performances from the cast and breathtaking scenery, it is a must-watch for fans of the action-thriller genre.
