Avenging Angel is an action-packed thriller released in 2007, directed by David S. Cass Sr. and starring Kevin Sorbo, Nick Chinlund, and Cynthia Watros. The movie revolves around the character of Miles Peterson, played by Sorbo, who was a former drug addict turned superhero in the previous installment of the series, "The 6th Day". In this sequel, Miles is now living a relatively peaceful life in Los Angeles, working as a youth counselor at a local church. However, his past comes back to haunt him when he receives a call from his old flame, Darcy (Watros), who now works as a journalist investigating a drug cartel. Darcy informs Miles that her life is in danger, and he decides to help her.

Miles soon discovers that the drug cartel is in cahoots with a corrupt police officer, Hank Larsson (Chinlund), who has his eyes set on a large sum of money being smuggled in by the cartel. Larsson soon catches wind of Miles' involvement and sets out to eliminate him.

As Miles and Darcy navigate through the dangerous world of drugs and corruption in Los Angeles, they also have to contend with Larsson's persistent threats. With no backup or support, they set out to protect themselves and bring the criminals to justice.

The movie is a classic tale of good versus evil, with Miles representing the good as he fights corrupt law enforcement and a ruthless drug cartel. Sorbo delivers a convincing portrayal of a reformed superhero who is forced to once again don the mantle of righteousness to protect those he loves.

Chinlund's performance as the antagonist of the movie is equally impressive. He convincingly portrays the character of a corrupt cop who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Watros also delivers a strong performance as Darcy, the intrepid journalist who risks everything to uncover the truth.

The action sequences in Avenging Angel are flawlessly choreographed and executed. Miles is shown as a skilled fighter who can hold his own against multiple opponents, making for some breathtaking fight scenes. The car chases and shootouts are also well-done, adding to the overall entertainment value of the movie.

Throughout the movie, the audience is kept engaged with an intriguing plot that keeps them guessing until the very end. The characters are well-written, and there is a palpable tension that keeps mounting as the story progresses.

One of the standout features of Avenging Angel is the production quality. The movie is shot in high definition, and the visuals are stunning. The camera work is excellent, with well-placed angles that showcase the action without being too disorienting.

In terms of flaws, Avenging Angel is not without its fair share. The pacing of the movie can be slow at times, with certain scenes dragging on longer than necessary. Additionally, some of the dialogue can be cheesy and clichéd, detracting from the overall impact of certain scenes.

Despite these minor criticisms, Avenging Angel is an enjoyable watch that provides a healthy dose of action and suspense to keep viewers engaged. The strong performances of the main cast, along with well-executed action sequences and a well-crafted plot make for an entertaining movie. Fans of the superhero genre and action movies will surely appreciate this thrilling adventure.

Avenging Angel is a 2007 drama. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.3.
