Watch Badlands of Montana

Steve Brewster runs for mayor of Cascade but is framed for rape by the mayor's wife, Emily. Steve is whipped and forced into a gunfight, killing the mayor and the marshal. He escapes and encounters the outlaw Henry Hammer's hideout where Steve is forced to join the gang. During a bank robbery, Steve is captured and jailed but offered a governor's pardon if he will become Cascade's marshal. Steve expels all outlaws from Cascade, but when soldiers bring in Hammer, Steve releases him.

Steve returns to the outlaw hideout, followed by Emily, who is followed by Hammer for the final showdown.
