Watch Bear With Me

Emily (Kaitlyn Burke) is no ordinary 11-year-old girl. She follows in the footsteps of her older sister, Melissa (Kimberly Warnat), in her endeavors to save the environment. Among the tasks the two girls face is a bear cub that has been wounded by poachers. The sisters pull together and bring the cub back to good health. They name the bear Masha.

There is word that a millionaire (Alan Thicke) is running a disreputable tree-clearing company, and he is clearing the forest around them. Melissa and a companion opt to enter the forest and document the shady business. Emily follows them into the woods. She slips along the riverbank and finds herself struggling to stay above water. Emily makes it out of the river and is now wet, cold and scared. She attempts to walk further, but she slips and falls. She strikes her head during the fall, knocking her unconscious.

Hours later, Emily wakes. She is surprised to find she is cuddled in the arms of a 700-pound bear. Emily quickly figures out the bear is her old friend, Masha. With Masha at her side, she begins an adventure in finding her way out of the forest. The unlikely couple encounter cougars, bears and hunters, but Masha takes care of the obstacles and keeps them on course. The two are in the forest for several days before they find their way back to family and friends.

Masha returns the second-chance-at-life favor that Emily gave to him when he was little. He leads her home safely and back to her family. The logging operation is thwarted. The millionaire is given his just reward, and the children have saved the environment.

The cast of Kaitlyn Burke, Michael Ontkean and Helen Shaver bring the movie to life. Fellow cast members include Kimberley Warnat, Gordon Tootoosis, Eric Johnson, Alan Thicke and Kristian Ayre.

Bear With Me is a 2000 kids & family movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 36 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.6.
