Beast from Haunted Cave is a horror movie released in 1959. The plot revolves around a group of criminals who plan a gold robbery in the Black Hills area of South Dakota. The criminals include a bank robber named Gil Jackson (played by Michael Forest) and his girlfriend Gypsy Boulet (played by Sheila Noonan). They are joined by three other members - Marty Jones (played by Frank Wolff), Byron Smith (played by Wally Campo), and Happy Jack Muldoon (played by Richard Sinatra). The group develops a plan to rob a mining town of gold, which has been extracted from deep within the mines. Having accomplished the heist, they decide to escape into the wilderness and spend the rest of their lives together in luxury.

The movie begins with Gil Jackson being released from prison. Gil reunites with his girlfriend Gypsy and meets up with the other members of the group. They plan the heist by robbing the gold from the mines surrounding the small mining town of Ripple Creek. They make their way to the mining town and create a diversion by staging a loud fight. While the townspeople are distracted, the group quickly robs the bank of its gold reserves.

However, things take a turn for the worse when they realize that they weren't the only ones aware of the gold. A strange monster, that is either a mutated bear or a mutated humanoid creature, has been lurking in the surrounding woods, preying on anyone who sets foot in the area. The group realizes they have to move quickly to avoid an encounter with the terrifying Beast from Haunted Cave.

As they trek through the woods, eluding the monster and the local authorities, tensions rise among the group. Gypsy begins to suspect that Gil is paying too much attention to her friend (played by Linné Ahlstrand), while Marty has his own suspicions about Gil's intentions for their share of the gold. To make matters worse, they soon discover that they've left important equipment behind, that's crucial for their survival in the blizzard. They decide to travel back to their hideout, but are confronted by the creature.

The movie's climax is an intense and dramatic showdown between the gang and the Beast from Haunted Cave. The creature stalks the gang as it slowly kills each member one by one. The group's desperate attempts to kill the creature with dynamite and firearms prove too little too late, as the Beast claims its final victim. This leads to a surprising twist in the movie's ending, which provides an interesting insight into the monster's origins, and leaves the audience to ponder on whether the monster was really a mere mutant bear or a humanoid creature created by some unknown force.

Overall, Beast from Haunted Cave is a classic horror movie that successfully blends heist and monster genre. Its minimalistic effects and low budget have aged, but these very factors add to the movie's charm. The film's strong performances by its cast, particularly Michael Forest in his role as the criminal mastermind, and its eerie and suspenseful tone, make it a must-see for fans of classic horror movies.

Beast from Haunted Cave is a 1959 crime movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 15 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.3.
