Begaana is a 1963 Hindi film which tells the story of a young, poor man named Rajendra (played by Dharmendra) who falls in love with a wealthy woman named Sheetal (played by Supriya Choudhury). The film begins with Rajendra being accused of stealing money from a factory he worked at, and subsequently being fired. He then meets Sheetal at a train station, where she drops her purse and he returns it to her. They strike up a conversation and hit it off, but she is unaware of his financial situation.

As their relationship develops, Rajendra becomes increasingly aware of the class divide between them. Sheetal's father, a wealthy businessman, disapproves of their relationship and tries to break them apart. He offers Rajendra a job at his factory, but Rajendra refuses, feeling that he cannot depend on Sheetal's father for his livelihood. Sheetal's father then tries to bribe Rajendra into leaving Sheetal, but once again he refuses.

Meanwhile, Sheetal's brother-in-law, who is a lawyer, becomes involved in the situation and tries to help Rajendra clear his name of the theft accusation. After investigating, he discovers that Rajendra is innocent and convinces the factory owner to reinstate him. This clears Rajendra's name and also wins the approval of Sheetal's father.

However, the couple's happiness is short-lived as Sheetal falls ill and is diagnosed with a rare disease that requires expensive treatment abroad. Sheetal's father offers to pay for the treatment, but Rajendra refuses and instead decides to sell off his land and belongings to pay for it himself. Sheetal is successfully treated and makes a full recovery, but Rajendra is left with nothing. In the end, Sheetal's father blesses their union and they are reunited.

The film is known for its portrayal of the class divide between the rich and poor in India, as well as for its exploration of themes such as love, sacrifice, and family. Dharmendra's performance as the lead character Rajendra was praised for its depth and sincerity, and the film was also notable for featuring the talents of young actor Sailesh Kumar in a supporting role.

Overall, Begaana is a touching and emotional film that explores the complexities of love and class dynamics in India. Its timeless themes and universal appeal have made it a beloved classic of Hindi cinema.
