In the movie 'Blood Games' a group of young female ball players flee to safety while being chased by a hostile group of backwoods roughnecks who lost to the traveling all-girls team in a baseball game. 'Blood Games' is an action horror picture that tells the story of what can happen when vulnerable people stray too far from home. The movie opens with 'Babe' (Laura Albert) as captain of the visiting 'Ballgirls' participating in an extremely rough exhibition baseball game against a team of brutal and unintelligent young men. After losing to the women, the men commiserate miserably with each other while the girls head over to the locker room to shower. Later in the evening, two of the male characters attempt to rape one of the girls, and in the process, one man is struck by a vehicle driven by Babe, who in the act of defending her teammates accidently kills him. The leader of the men's team assembles a posse to inform them that the situation requires vengeance. The girls get into their bus and flee, while the men who are quite drunk by that time take chase. They bring with them weapons including long guns, hatchets, and a crossbow. Soon, the young women find themselves deep in the woods, lost in unfamiliar territory. They must rely upon their own resources to survive because the men intend to hunt them down and kill them. With the nearest major highway miles away, their vehicle breaks down and the girls have to continue on foot. When it becomes clear that they cannot outrun their pursuers, they discover that they have no choice but to fight for their lives. When one of the girls is killed by bow and arrow, the women decide that it's their turn for revenge. In the end, the women manage to survive by neutralizing their pursuers using ropes, baseball bats, and most of all, their wits.
