Bondage is a movie that explores the life of a young man named Dave Holden (Michael Angarano) who has a passion for creating fetish art. The movie is set in New York City and was directed by Eric Allen Bell. The cast includes Illeana Douglas, Griffin Dunne, and Eric Millegan. The movie begins with Dave Holden struggling to make ends meet while working at a corporate job. He is an artist at heart and spends his nights working on his art. His art is not just any art, it is fetish art that involves women in bondage. He is really good at what he does, and his art gets noticed by a few people including a gallery owner named Lisa (Illeana Douglas).

Dave's fascination with bondage stems from his childhood, where he was subjected to frequent bullying. He creates art that allows him to gain control and domination over his subject. Lisa recognizes the potential in his art and offers to showcase it at her gallery. This is a turning point in Dave's life as he quits his job and dedicates himself fully to his art.

As Dave's artwork gains popularity, he is approached by a woman named Allegra (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) who is a dominatrix. She is interested in collaborating with Dave on some of her sessions. Dave is hesitant at first, but his curiosity gets the better of him, and he agrees to work with her.

As they work together, Dave begins to fall for Allegra, and his art changes to reflect his feelings for her. He starts to create art that involves loving and sensual bondage, and his work becomes even more popular.

However, not everyone is a fan of his art. Some people, including his own mother (Lynne Cohen), see his work as perverse and twisted. Dave's relationship with his mother is strained as she cannot understand his art, and Dave cannot understand her rejection of it.

The movie explores themes of sexuality, art, and the human psyche. It asks the question of what happens when sexual fetishes are turned into art and whether it is acceptable.

The performances in the movie are excellent, particularly Michael Angarano's portrayal of Dave Holden. He embodies Dave's struggle to come to terms with his art and his own desires. Illeana Douglas is also great as Lisa, the gallery owner who recognizes the potential in Dave's art.

The cinematography in the movie is also noteworthy. The shots are well-executed, and the use of color is particularly effective in conveying the emotions of the characters.

Overall, Bondage is a thought-provoking movie that explores the world of fetish art and the human psyche. It asks important questions about what is acceptable in art and whether personal desires can be turned into something artistic. The performances and cinematography are excellent, and the movie is definitely worth watching.
