Boss Nigger is a Western movie that was directed by veteran director, Jack Arnold. The film was released in 1974 and stars Fred Williamson, D’Urville Martin, and William Smith as the three main characters. The movie follows the exploits of Boss Nigger and his right-hand man, Amos, as they travel to the town of San Miguel to rid it of the criminal element that has taken hold during the Gold Rush.

The film opens with Boss Nigger and Amos riding horseback across the desert, pursuing a group of bandits who have stolen a wagon containing precious mining equipment. The two are able to retrieve the equipment and bring it back to the mining town of San Miguel. Upon arriving in the town, Boss Nigger is confronted by the sheriff, who is skeptical of his ability to control the local population. Boss Nigger quickly proves himself, however, showing that he is more than capable of handling the criminal element that has infested the town.

As Boss Nigger and Amos begin to put a stop to the criminal activity, they are faced with opposition from powerful figures in the town. Boss Nigger refuses to back down, however, and continues to fight for what he believes is right. The film is filled with action-packed scenes, thrilling gunfights, and powerful displays of strength and courage.

One of the most notable aspects of Boss Nigger is the portrayal of its main character, played by Fred Williamson. Boss Nigger is a strong, black man who refuses to be intimidated by the racism and prejudice of the white population. Williamson gives an excellent performance, conveying both the toughness and vulnerability of his character. The film is also notable for its portrayal of a black man as the hero of a Western movie, a departure from the usual formula of white male heroes.

The cinematography of Boss Nigger is also noteworthy, with Arnold utilizing the vast deserts and rugged terrain of the film’s setting to great effect. The movie is filled with stunning panoramic shots of the desert, as well as intimate close-ups that capture the emotions of the film’s characters.

In addition to Williamson, the film also features strong performances from D'Urville Martin as Amos and William Smith as Jed Clayton, the primary antagonist of the movie. Martin brings a sense of humor and levity to the film with his performance, while Smith is convincingly menacing as the villainous Clayton.

Overall, Boss Nigger is a thrilling and entertaining Western movie that stands out for its emphasis on a black hero and its strong performances. With its action-packed gunfights, stunning cinematography, and compelling characters, it is a must-see for fans of the genre.
