Borat is so 2006! A new mockumentary called Bruno arrives on the big screen delivering crazy shenanigans and crass humor for the viewers delight. This hilarious film was directed by Larry Charles and, in addition, it was produced by the following people: Sacha Baron Cohen, Jay Roach, Dan Mazer and Jonathan Hill. The screenplay of Bruno was done by: Sacha Baron Cohen, Dan Mazzer, Anthony Hines, Peter Baynham, and Jeff Schaffer. The film’s story was created by many talented people who collaborated together in order to create the perfect characters and story lines including: Sacha Baron Cohen, Peter Baynham, Anthony Hines and Dan Mazzer. But, the people who bring the laughs and the funny to Bruno are the fabulous actors: Sacha Baron Cohen, Paul McCartney, Clifford Banagale and Gustaf Hammersten.
The plot of this story is about a crazy and wacky gay Austrian fashion commentator. This man is called Bruno, and he gets himself involved in several predicaments, including getting fired from his very own television show called Funkytime with Bruno (Funkyzeit Mit Bruno), after causing mayhem at a fashion show. In addition to losing his beloved television show, Bruno is left by his boyfriend and long time lover, Diesel. But, Bruno plans on rebuilding his life in a new country; America. His long time pal and loyal assistant, Lutz, joins Bruno as they both head of to the United States of America with the hopes of becoming the next big Austrian thing.
Once Bruno arrives at America, he begins his journey to stardom. First, Bruno tries his hand at acting, and decides to become one of the background people in the NBC television show Medium. After that flopped, Bruno decided that he wanted to interview people, and his first assignment was to interview Paula Abdul. But, this interview was a little bit eccentric because instead of chairs, Bruno used several Mexican people as furniture which he called, “little Mexican chair people.” Bruno even tried being a celebrity commentator where he slammed Britney Lynn Spears’s unborn child. All-in-all this film is very funny, and it features several crazy scenes including stupidity that only Bruno can deliver.
Characters of this film include: Bruno: Fashionable and fabulous, Bruno is a crass, gay and Austrian stardom hungry man who is the center of the film. Bruno was fired from his job and he lost his long time boyfriend. Other characters include: Lutz, Diesel and several celebrities.
