Bushwhacked is a 1995 American comedy film directed by Greg Beeman and starring Daniel Stern, Jon Polito, and Brad Sullivan. The film follows the misadventures of Max Grabelski (Daniel Stern), a small-time criminal who is on the run from the law after being framed for murder. Desperate for a way out, he takes on the identity of a scout leader and leads a group of misfit kids on a hiking trip into the wilderness.

The film opens with Max, who is about to be arrested for a series of minor crimes, being framed for the murder of his boss by a group of criminals who stole a fortune in counterfeit money from his boss's business. Max is then forced to go on the run, determined to clear his name and retrieve the stolen money before he is caught by the police or the real killers.

While hiding out in the woods, Max stumbles upon a group of boy scouts who are lost in the wilderness without a leader. Seizing the opportunity, Max takes on the identity of the boy scout leader and leads the group on a hiking trip through the forest. However, things soon take a turn for the worse when Max and the kids find themselves lost in the wilderness with no food, water, or shelter.

As they struggle to survive in the wilderness, Max must also contend with the real boy scout leader, Troopmaster Brickwood (Jon Polito), who grows suspicious of Max and begins to investigate his true identity. Max also faces dangers from the criminals who are still hot on his trail, as well as from the harsh wilderness itself.

Despite the challenges they face, Max and the kids begin to bond and work together as a team. Max finds himself growing attached to the kids and even begins to enjoy the experience of being a scout leader. However, the criminals eventually catch up to them, and Max must use his wits and resourcefulness to protect the kids and clear his name.

The film is a comedic take on the classic wilderness adventure story, with plenty of slapstick humor and hijinks. Daniel Stern delivers a charming performance as Max, who starts out as a selfish criminal but gradually grows into a caring and responsible leader. Jon Polito is also excellent as the skeptical and mistrustful Troopmaster Brickwood, who provides a great foil to Max's antics.

Overall, Bushwhacked is an enjoyable and lighthearted family comedy that will appeal to both kids and adults. With its mix of humor, heart, and adventure, it is a perfect choice for a lazy Sunday afternoon or family movie night.
