Caught Up is a thriller movie that made its debut in 1998. Caught Up starts out with a character named Daryl, who comes home from prison after doing five years. When he comes home, he is left with no girlfriend and no family to support him. He is basically on his own, but wants to see his son. Since he just got out of jail, he is trying his best to stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay that way for long.
He hooks up with a Gypsy woman he meets at a restaurant. They not soon after, become lovers. He needs a job to keep him straight and out of trouble. His gypsy girlfriend introduces him to a guy she knows, that could possibly give him a job. After some heated exchanges of words and fists, her friend employs Daryl as a driver. Daryl doesn't like her friend or that job. He smells something is fishy about the whole situation. But Daryl faithfully continues to work for his girlfriend's friend, in order to keep money in his pocket. One day as Daryl is concentrating on his job, it starts to rain. As it rains, he sees his trunk is open. When he stops the car and looks in the trunk, he finds a dead body. Unbeknown to him, his job consisted of transporting dead bodies. Cops walk up to him on the side of the road and question Daryl. Daryl is quick on his feet, and diverts the cop's attention off of the trunk.
After Daryl narrowly escapes the cop's questions, he drives to his employer to quit and fight him. Daryl soon finds out that his girlfriend's ex boyfriend is trying to kill her, because she stole diamonds from him. The gypsy sets Daryl up as she fakes her own death. Daryl will have to seek revenge on the gypsy and her ex, in order for Daryl to get his life back.
