Celtic Pride is a hilarious sports comedy, released in 1996, starring Damon Wayans, Daniel Stern, and Dan Aykroyd. The plot of the movie revolves around the Boston Celtics, a popular basketball team, and their fans. The two main characters, Mike and Jimmy (played by Damon Wayans and Daniel Stern, respectively) are overly obsessed fans of the Celtics. When their beloved team makes it to the NBA finals, they decide to do everything they can to help the Celtics win the championship.

Their plan, however, is not without its flaws. In a moment of drunken recklessness, they decide to kidnap the Utah Jazz's star player, Lewis Scott (played by Daman Wayans), the night before the big game. The two fans, along with the kidnapped player, hole up in Mike's apartment and try to keep him from being found until after the game.

Along the way, the two fans learn that their love for the Celtics may not be as pure as they once thought. They realize that their desire to win the championship has become an obsession that is fueled by their own insecurities.

Meanwhile, Lewis Scott, the kidnapped player, tries to escape from his captors and also learns valuable lessons about friendship and loyalty. Along with the other characters in the movie, he realizes that there are things more important than winning a game.

The movie contains many comedic moments, most of which are based on the characters' personalities and the situations they find themselves in. Damon Wayans delivers a standout performance, playing two separate characters, both of which are vastly different yet equally entertaining.

Daniel Stern, known for his performances in Home Alone and City Slickers, also deserves praise for his portrayal of the obsessive fan, Jimmy. His over-the-top antics and comedic timing provide some of the movie's funniest moments.

Dan Aykroyd, who plays the Boston Celtics' owner, also adds to the movie's humor with his eccentric character who is constantly trying to come up with new marketing ideas to promote the team.

However, the movie is not just about gags and laughs. It has a heartwarming message about the true meaning of loyalty and friendship. The characters learn that winning isn't everything and that being true to oneself is more important than anything else.

In conclusion, Celtic Pride is a must-watch for fans of sports comedies. Filled with hilarious moments and lovable characters, it is a movie that will leave audiences laughing long after it's over. Fans of Damon Wayans, Daniel Stern, and Dan Aykroyd will not be disappointed with their performances, and anyone looking for a heartwarming story with a positive message should definitely give this movie a chance.
