Chernobyl Diaries is a horror movie that was released in 2012. The movie follows a group of six young tourists who decide to go on an extreme tour of the deserted city of Prypiat, which is located near the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The tourists include Chris (Jesse McCartney), his girlfriend Natalie (Olivia Taylor Dudley), and their friends Amanda (Devin Kelley) and Zoe (Ingrid Bolsø Berdal), as well as their tour guide Uri (Dimitri Diatchenko) and his colleague Michael (Jonathan Sadowski).

The group arrives in Kiev, Ukraine and meets up with Uri, who takes them on a two-day tour of the area. On the first day, they explore the abandoned city of Prypiat and its surroundings. They visit the amusement park, the school, the hospital, and the nuclear power plant. They take pictures and videos of everything they see, and Uri explains the history of the disaster that occurred in Chernobyl in 1986.

On the second day, things start to go wrong. The group wakes up to find that their van won't start, and they are stranded in the deserted town with no way to call for help. Uri decides to take the group to an abandoned military facility nearby, where they can find shelter for the night. However, as they explore the facility, they discover that they are not alone. There are strange noises coming from the basement, and the group starts to feel like they are being watched.

As the night progresses, things get worse. The group begins to realize that they are not the only ones in the facility. They encounter strange, mutated creatures that seem to be the result of the radiation from the Chernobyl disaster. The group quickly realizes that they are in grave danger and must find a way to escape before it's too late.

Chernobyl Diaries is a tense, suspenseful movie that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. The setting is eerie and atmospheric, and the use of real-life locations and footage from the Chernobyl disaster adds an extra layer of authenticity. The creatures are genuinely creepy and unsettling, and the special effects are well done.

The cast does an excellent job of portraying a group of young people who are in over their heads. Jesse McCartney gives a solid performance as Chris, the protagonist of the movie who is determined to protect his friends. Olivia Taylor Dudley is also memorable as Natalie, Chris's girlfriend who is skeptical of the tour from the beginning. Jonathan Sadowski provides some comic relief as Michael, the wisecracking member of the group who tries to keep everyone's spirits up even as the situation becomes more and more dire.

Overall, Chernobyl Diaries is a well-made horror movie that will appeal to fans of the genre. It is not for the faint of heart, as there are some genuinely frightening moments, but for those who enjoy being scared, it is definitely worth watching.

Chernobyl Diaries is a 2012 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.0.
