Watch Cobra Verde

Filmed on location in Ghana, Colombia and Brazil, Cobra Verde follows the tale of a Brazilian rancher-turned-bandit named Francisco Manoel da Silva who snapped when he learned his boss, who ran a gold mine, was financially exploiting him. He murders his boss in a fit of rage and becomes the notorious Cobra Verde. He impresses a wealthy sugar farmer when Francisco subdues one of his escaped slaves. The sugar farmer, not knowing that the man is the Cobra Verde, sets him to work overseeing his slaves. This has many unexpected consequences for da Silva, sending him to Europe and Africa.
