Czechoslovakia 1968 is a very short documentary film that shows what happens in Czechoslovakia during the "Prague Spring." During this time in Czechoslovakia, the citizens tried to take back their rights that they had lost. Russia ended up invading Czechoslovakia in order to enforce its policies. Students are well as ordinary citizens resisted this invasion with peaceful and nonviolent protests. Their protests helped lead to the collapse of Soviet rules and polices in Czechoslovakia and laid the groundwork for two new nations, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. This documentary attempts to capture the energy and activities of that spring.
