Watch Dandelion Wine

This film, made for television, is a Russian adaptation of the book of the same title by the great science fiction and fantasy writer, Ray Bradbury. The story centers on one summer in the life of a young boy growing up in a small town in the early years of the 20th century. The filmmaker was attempting to capture the innocence of childhood and the values of kindness and humanity in the face of ordinary life events, including the death of loved ones. Winning several Russian film awards, this movie is a testament to the universality of Bradbury's themes.
