When the Christian Town Council creates laws to monitor who is and isn't a Christian influence in a small town, two missionaries are arrested for unlawful proselytizing. A man named Thomas Bryant begins dealing with an inner struggle as he wants to defend these missionaries but is met with resistance by his wife, family, friends and town as a whole. As the two go through court, the battle becomes more difficult than anyone ever expected.
