Deceit is a 2013 crime thriller directed by Matthew Cole Weiss and starring Fredro Starr, Layzie Bone, and Dorian Gregory. Set in Los Angeles, the movie follows the story of four friends who decide to rob a wealthy drug dealer, only to find themselves embroiled in a web of deception, betrayal, and violence. The film opens with the introduction of the main characters - Derrick (Fredro Starr), a former drug dealer turned mechanic; Jamal (Layzie Bone), a struggling rapper; Q (J. Shawn Durham), Derrick's younger brother; and G-Rod (Dorian Gregory), a smooth-talking ladies' man. Tired of living hand-to-mouth, the four friends hatch a plan to rob a local drug dealer named Kane (Glenn Plummer), who is rumored to have millions in cash stashed away in his mansion.

Despite some initial hesitation, the group eventually decides to go through with the heist, and they spend several weeks planning their attack. However, as soon as they enter Kane's mansion, things go horribly wrong. They find no cash, only drugs, and Kane ends up being killed during a struggle with one of the robbers.

From there, the situation spirals out of control. The friends are forced to contend with rival drug lords, corrupt cops, and each other as they try to stay one step ahead of the law and keep their share of the loot. Derrick begins to suspect that one of the group has betrayed them, and tensions rise as they each try to protect themselves and their interests.

As the movie progresses, the audience is kept on the edge of their seats as the plot twists and turns, with unexpected revelations and alliances forming and breaking apart. The excellent performances from the cast help to create a palpable sense of tension, and the gritty, noir-like atmosphere of Los Angeles adds depth to the story.

One of the film's standout performances is from Fredro Starr, who delivers a strong and nuanced portrayal of a man struggling to reconcile his past with his desire for a better life. Layzie Bone is also great as Jamal, the aspiring rapper who is both ambitious and naive. Dorian Gregory is charismatic and suave as G-Rod, while Glenn Plummer delivers a convincingly menacing performance as Kane.

Overall, Deceit is a gripping and intense crime thriller that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats from beginning to end. Its strong performances, clever plot twists, and gritty atmosphere make it a must-watch for fans of the genre.
