Devil Girl is a horror-thriller movie released in 2007, directed by Howie Askins, and produced by Tom Osborne. It explores the terrifying story of Fay (Jessica Graham), a young woman who develops supernatural powers after facing a traumatic experience as a child. The movie opens with Fay, now a young adult, waking up in the middle of the forest, surrounded by dead bodies. She has no memory of how she got there or what happened the previous night. Soon, she realizes that something supernatural is happening to her as she starts seeing strange visions and experiencing weird sensations.

As the story progresses, we learn that Fay's mother (Vanessa Kay) was a member of a satanic cult, which performed rituals involving sacrifices and dark magic. Fay's father, a detective, arrested her mother, and she was sentenced to life in prison. However, with her mother's influence, Fay's childhood was filled with nightmares and abuse, which left a deep impact on her psyche.

The supernatural powers that Fay acquires gradually become stronger, and she sees visions of a demon-like entity that seems to be haunting her. She enlists the help of her boyfriend, Sam (Joe Wanjai Ross), who is also a photographer, to try and capture some of the paranormal activity on camera. They encounter a variety of strange phenomena, including dancing shadows, levitating objects, and even a demonic entity that physically attacks Fay.

As Fay becomes more and more unstable, the people around her start to suspect that she is behind the murders that have been occurring in their small town. Even Sam begins to have doubts about Fay's sanity and suggests that she see a therapist. However, Fay is convinced that the demon is real and that it wants her to carry out some sort of evil act.

The movie is a slow burn, with the horror elements gradually being introduced and building to a climax. The atmosphere is tense, and the setting of the small town adds to the eeriness of the film. The performances of the cast are well done, with Jessica Graham being particularly convincing as the emotionally unstable and terrorized Fay.

One of the strengths of the film is its use of practical effects to create the supernatural elements. The demonic entity, for example, is a puppet that was designed and constructed specifically for the film. This makes the horror feel more real and impactful, as opposed to relying solely on CGI effects.

Overall, Devil Girl is a solid horror-thriller that has plenty of scares and suspenseful moments. It's a unique take on the "possession" sub-genre of horror films and is definitely worth checking out for fans of the genre.

Devil Girl is a 2007 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 22 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.8.
