Doomsday Prophecy is a science fiction film that was written by Shawn Linden and Jason Bourque, who also directed. The movie features A.J. Buckley, Alan Dale and Jewel Staite. The story begins as planet earth has begun to deconstruct, exactly as the modern day soothsayer, Rupert Crane (played by Michael Walker) has predicted. It is unclear just precisely why this is all occurring. It could be happening for a variety of scientific reasons, according to the doctor. However, Crane has released a book covering the conspiracy. He has requested that Eric Fox (played by A.J. Buckley), a New York City editor go up to Canada with him to fetch it.
Crane is also insisting that Dr. Brooke Calvin (played by Jewel Staite), an archeologist come along since she has special knowledge and skills. However, before Brooke and Eric have a chance to get to Crane's cabin, they find that he has died. He has left a videotape for them to see, along with a Magic Stick.
The tape reveals that there is a Dark Star on the edge of the galaxy that has been causing a disturbance. They believe it could be Jupiter, however they are unsure. Meanwhile, General Slate (played by Alan Dale) is quite perturbed and wants the Magic Stick from them.
This Magic Stick allows for fragments of the future to be seen which makes it easier to predict and prepare for what is ahead. However, it also causes anyone doing this much physical pain. This puts a lot of pressure on Eric and Brooke to get through the fragments and find a solution, since the Dark Star is fast approaching.
The Magic Stick has Indian markings on it so they decide to find a knowledgeable Native American to help them. They find out what it all means just in the nick of time, just before the entire city of Chicago is about to be obliterated.
