In the 1962 monster movie "Eegah," Arch Hall Jr. plays Tom, a teenage guitarist who accidentally stumbles upon a prehistoric cave man named Eegah (Richard Kiel) while driving through the California desert with his girlfriend Roxy (Marilyn Manning). Initially frightened by the encounter, Tom and Roxy eventually befriend Eegah and attempt to help him navigate the modern world.

As they spend more time with Eegah, they realize that he possesses incredible strength and a childlike innocence, but also harbors a dangerous side. Meanwhile, Tom's father, a wealthy and eccentric scientist, becomes obsessed with capturing Eegah and studying him. The film culminates in a dramatic confrontation between Eegah, Tom, and his father.

First and foremost, "Eegah" is a fun and cheesy B-movie that serves up a healthy dose of camp and unintentional laughs. From the stilted dialogue to the amateurish acting, the film is not exactly a masterpiece of cinema. However, it has a certain charm and camp appeal that has made it a cult classic amongst fans of the genre.

One of the main draws of the film is undoubtedly Richard Kiel's portrayal of Eegah. Towering over the other characters at over seven feet tall, Kiel cuts an imposing figure in his animal skin loincloth and shaggy wig. Despite his limited range of vocal expression, Kiel manages to imbue Eegah with a childlike wonder and innocence that is endearing. At the same time, he is also quite menacing when angered or threatened, making for some thrilling sequences.

Arch Hall Jr. and Marilyn Manning, on the other hand, are somewhat less memorable as the film's protagonist couple. Hall Jr. is stiff and unconvincing as Tom, and Manning's performance as Roxy is mostly forgettable. However, the two have decent chemistry and their scenes with Kiel are often the film's highlights.

The film's pacing is a mixed bag, with some scenes dragging on for too long and others feeling rushed. The editing and cinematography are also quite rough around the edges, though this is to be expected from a low-budget production like "Eegah."

Despite its flaws, "Eegah" is a fun ride for fans of cheesy monster movies. Its mix of camp, unintentional humor, and absurdity make for an enjoyable viewing experience that is hard to forget. At the very least, it is worth checking out for Richard Kiel's memorable turn as the titular character.

Eegah is a 1962 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has received poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 2.2.
