He then was raised by elves to become an elf, and he receives permission from Santa himself to go and meet his birth father after 20 years . His father has been on Santa's Naught list for years because of his heartless lifestyle and how he never tries to live in the holiday spirit. He also has no idea that he even has a son, so his meeting with his young Elf child does not go directly as planned by Buddy.

He tries hard to find his father and becomes close to him, but along the way he finds his true self and discovers the real meaning behind Christmas.
