Empress Wu Tse-Tien is a Hong Kong drama about the Chinese empress who reigned during the 7th century. She was also the only woman in Chinese history to be an Empress Regnant. The character is portrayed as both ruthless and intelligent. She also has a considerable respect for her own sex, and she has a female aide. The empress ruled for decades and often had to deal with men who underestimated her because of her sex.
