Escape from Planet Earth is a computer-animated science fiction comedy movie released in 2012. It is directed by Callan Brunker and stars Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Jessica Alba in lead roles. The film follows the story of alien astronaut Scorch Supernova, who embarks on a dangerous mission to the "Dark Planet" known as Earth to save his brother Gary and other aliens.

In the movie, Scorch Supernova (Brendan Fraser) is a famous and self-centered astronaut from the planet Baab, who is known to embark on dangerous missions alone. On the other hand, his brother Gary Supernova (Rob Corddry) is a more intelligent, methodical, and cautious guy who works at the Baab's mission control center. Despite their differences, Gary and Scorch share a close relationship. One day, while Scorch is on a mission to the "Dark Planet," he gets captured by an evil general named Shanker (William Shatner), who was hoping to take advantage of Scorch's extraordinary powers. Gary, realizing his brother's in trouble, decides to rescue him.

Gary has to come to Earth, a foreign planet, and battle the obstacles that come in his way to rescue his brother, and this is where the real adventure starts. Aided by a nerdy guy named Thurman (George Lopez) and a badass lady named Lena (Jessica Alba), Gary embarks on a mission to rescue his brother and bring him home. However, upon arrival, they realize that aliens have previously tried similar missions and Shanker has captured all of them.

The group has to use their skills and wits to outsmart Shanker and his army of soldiers and rescue Scorch and the other aliens. In the process, they uncover Shanker's evil plan to steal all of the alien's valuable resources and use it for his own benefit. The team must act quickly to prevent Shanker from succeeding in his plans and ensure the safety of their friends from their home planet.

The animation in Escape from Planet Earth is visually stunning, and the character design is excellent. Brendan Fraser does an excellent job voicing Scorch, with his character becoming more endearing as the story progresses. Sarah Jessica Parker does a great job as Scorch's wife, who is feeling helpless at home while her husband is away, and Jessica Alba put on an excellent performance as the strong female lead. The movie has numerous funny jokes and puns that not only tickle your funny bone but also make the movie more enjoyable.

The movie has a strong message regarding the importance of teamwork, loyalty, and family values. The characters learn the importance of working together instead of operating independently and blindly following orders. It is a story of bravery, friendship and of doing the right thing, even when it's not really the easiest option.

In conclusion, Escape from Planet Earth is a fun movie to watch with the family. Its simple storyline, stunning animation, and impeccable voice acting make it an entertaining and enjoyable experience. It will delight both children and adults who love a great adventure movie.
