Evidence is a gripping horror-thriller released in 2013. This movie follows four detectives, two male and two female, as they investigate a gruesome massacre that has taken place in an abandoned gas station in the middle of the desert. As the detectives dive into their investigation, they discover a plethora of video footage recovered from the scene.

The footage is used to tell two sets of storylines, one following the detectives' perspectives and the other, the events that led up to the massacre. The movie jumps back and forth between these two storylines, working towards a shocking final reveal.

The video footage showcases several different groups of people who all cross paths with one another at the same gas station over a period of time. The first group is three young college students, Rachel (played by Caitlin Stasey), Tyler (played by Toby Hemingway), and their friend Benny (played by Ryan Pinkston). The trio is heading out to the desert for a weekend of fun.

Shortly after, the detectives arrive on the scene to begin their investigation. This group comprises of two male detectives, played by Harry Lennix and Dale Dickey, and two female detectives, played by Torrey DeVitto and Caitlin Stasey. They sift through the evidence, all while trying to piece together the events that took place at the gas station.

As the detectives dig deeper and more details are revealed in the video footage, they realize that several different groups of people had visited the same gas station with sinister motives. One group includes a man and a woman who are on the run from the police, played by Radha Mitchell and Stephen Moyer. There is also a strange man with black eyes, played by John Cothren, who seems to have a connection to all the other groups.

As the detectives continue to watch these clips, they see that each group comes across a mysterious black substance that causes them to become possessed and turns them into killers. As the two storylines eventually converge, the detectives find themselves fighting for their lives as they try to survive the same horror that had taken place in the gas station.

The movie excels at building tension and suspense as it reveals the pieces of the puzzle, while leaving audiences constantly guessing as to what has occurred. In terms of performances, Evidence does an excellent job of showing a range of emotions, particularly in the reactions of the victims in the clips. It is impressive how each person reacts to the black substance, ranging from fear and confusion to mania and rage.

One particularly standout performance in Evidence comes from actress Caitlin Stasey, who is able to bring both vulnerability and strength to her character Rachel. Torrey DeVitto is also impressive as detective Burquez, who has her own demons to face throughout the investigation.

Overall, Evidence is a well-crafted horror-mystery that will keep viewers on edge until the very end. It has moments of gore and violence, but the focus is more on the suspenseful buildup to these moments. The video footage element is an innovative way of storytelling and keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. If you are a fan of thrillers and horror movies, then Evidence is definitely one to add to your watch list.

Evidence is a 2013 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 34 minutes. It has received poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.3 and a MetaScore of 14.
