Flesh Gordon is a 1974 science fiction and erotic film which features an eponymous hero (played by Jason Williams), who is on a mission to save the earth from the evil clutches of the interplanetary ruler of the universe, Ming the Merciless. The movie follows the classic story arc of a young hero who sets out on a mission to save his planet from a powerful villain. Flesh Gordon's adventure begins when he observes a strange phenomenon in the sky which forces him and his girlfriend Dale Ardor (played by Suzanne Fields) to escape in a small plane. The plane crash-lands in the laboratory of evil Dr Flexi Jerkoff (played by Joseph Hudgins), who was working on a secret experiment to create a sex ray. The couple accidentally get hit by the ray, which not only enlarges their private parts but also sends them into space, where they encounter various alien creatures and battle waves of Ming the Merciless's monsters to ultimately rescue their planet.

The movie is a spoof of the classic science fiction serials of the 1930s and '40s, particularly the popular Flash Gordon serials. The makers of the movie have added a sexual twist to the superhero genre, resulting in a movie that is a hilarious and raunchy parody. The movie is also famous for its outlandish and over-the-top special effects, which are often crude but still manage to be entertaining.

The movie features various bizarre and outrageous characters, including chief villain Ming the Merciless (played by William Dennis Hunt) who has green skin and is adorned in over-the-top regalia. Though Ming is a villain, he's also a raging pervert who has a harem of scantily clad women and an insatiable urge for depravity. Flesh Gordon's mission to save the planet involves battling Ming's minions which include, among others, the Phallic Creatures, which are monsters with human-sized penis-like appendages, and Amazons of the Penis Planet, who are fierce warrior women with an army of dildo soldiers.

The humor in the movie is both juvenile and cleverly crafted, with a lot of double entendres, visual gags, and slapstick humor. The movie is also famous for its catchy musical score, which is a mixture of funk, rock, and kitsch.

Flesh Gordon is undoubtedly a product of its time, and its humor and irreverence may not be appreciated by all viewers. While it's certainly not a classic by any means, it remains an entertaining cult classic that is worth watching for those who enjoy a good laugh and don't mind a bit of raunchiness. The film's creators clearly had a lot of fun making it, and their love for the campy sci-fi and adventure genres are on full display throughout the movie.

Overall, Flesh Gordon is an entertaining and silly movie that's worth a watch for anyone who enjoys offbeat humor and isn't easily offended. Despite its crude humor and questionable production quality, the movie has a lighthearted, fun vibe that makes it difficult not to enjoy. It's a must-see for anyone who loves cheesy B-movies or off-kilter comedy.
