Camp Fred, a made for TV movie, is a wild comedy that follows Fred Figglehorn as he adventures through his day to day life at summer camp. When school is finally released for the summer Fred's plans are dashed as his mother reveals which summer camp he will be attending. To Fred's dismay he will be going to Camp Iwannapee and this starts Fred on his first tantrum of the summer.
While trying to make the most of his camp experience Fred joins in the camp games where his camp, Camp Iwannapeepee, goes head to head against the rival camp, the one in which Fred wanted to attend in the first place, Camp Superior. Every summer before this one the Camp Superior has beaten Camp Iwannapeepee in every competition they participated in. Fred is even more distraught when he finds out that his rival enemy, Kevin, is attending Camp Superior, and will take part in the camp games. This news gives Fred even more motivation to win the game. A massive musical number is playing as the camp games commence. Kevin tries to win by playing dirty, but Fred is on to his tricks and comes out ahead, helping Camp Iwannapeepee win their first ever camp trophy.
During his stay at Camp Iwannapeepee Fred has come to the conclusion that the camp food is being poisoned. He imagines that they are being drugged so that the giant rat monster, the camp director, can eat their brains. This is just one of the many daydreams that Fred has during the movie, and they seem to help him out in the long run. Since he believes the food is being poisoned he chooses to snack on some berries that have him daydreaming even more, and seeing things that are not there. The truth is later revealed that there is in fact something being put into the camp food, but it was not poison.
