F/X2 is a 1991 American action-thriller movie that takes place five years after the original F/X film. The movie reunites the audience with Rollie Tyler (Brian Brown), a master special effects artist, who's once again called upon to help solve a twisted crime involving fake money and government agents. Rollie, now living a simple life as a toy maker in a new town, is suddenly visited by his old police friend, Leo McCarthy (Brian Dennehy), who needs his help in solving a murder case. Rollie agrees to help him, and the two men soon find themselves entangled in a web of lies and conspiracies that goes all the way up to the highest government officials.

The main plot of the movie revolves around a case in which an elderly body double is murdered in place of a Latin American presidential candidate, who's set to arrive on American soil. As Rollie and Leo investigate the case, they discover that there's a larger conspiracy at play involving counterfeit money, corrupt government officials, and a band of rogue mercenaries who'll stop at nothing to get what they want.

The movie engages the audience with its impressive special effects and visuals that make the action scenes even more thrilling. We see Rollie use all kinds of tricks and devices to outwit the bad guys, from exploding fishing lures to holographic projections.

Aside from Rollie and Leo, the movie boasts a diverse and talented cast of both old and new characters. Rachel Ticotin, who plays Kim Brandon, Leo's partner, brings a fresh perspective to the story and adds a touch of romance to the otherwise action-packed movie.

The movie showcases Brian Brown's acting range and his ability to portray a complex character with ease. Rollie's journey from being a reluctant hero to a fearless one is both entertaining and inspiring. Brian Dennehy's portrayal of Leo McCarthy is equally impressive, and his chemistry with Brown adds depth to their characters' bromance.

F/X2's script is well-written and packed with enough twists and turns to keep the audience engaged until the very end. The movie balances humor, action, and drama expertly, maintaining a perfect pace throughout.

Overall, F/X2 is a highly entertaining and compelling movie that combines humor, action, and drama expertly. It's a must-watch for any fan of the original F/X movie, and it stands out as one of the best action-thrillers of the 90s.
