The King of Korea, Gojong takes refuge in the Russian Consulate after the assassination of his wife. While he is at the consulate he is introduced to coffee, a drink not available in his country. Having grown to love this new taste, he hires a barista, Tanya to return with him to his homeland when he feels things are once again safe there. He is unaware of Tanya's connections that are going to threaten his life.

Tanya and Ilyich are lovers who work together swindling gold and coffee in Russia. The get recruited by Sadako, a Japanese officer when they are caught by the soldiers, and convinced they must complete the operation, "Gabi"- assassinate Emperor Gojong. If they fail in their mission, the penalty will be death.

Gabi is a 2012 drama with a runtime of 1 hour and 55 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 8.5.
