Go-Bama: Between Hope and Dreams is a 2010 documentary about the historic presidential election of 2008 which saw the US elect its first President of African descent. Born to a white Irish-American mother and a black Kenyan father, Obama was the first president to represent the racial diversity of the US. Such an election represents the hope of racial reconciliation. This concept of hope is explored in this independent documentary directed by A. Rahman Satti, a Berlin, Germany-based creative producer. Satti includes his own biographical information which helps to tell an uplifting story about creating a better, more accepting world.
