Godzilla vs. Megalon is a Japanese science fiction film released in 1973. Directed by Jun Fukuda, the movie features Godzilla, the iconic giant monster, facing off against a new kaiju, Megalon. The film stars Katsuhiko Sasaki, Hiroyuki Kawase, and Yutaka Hayashi. The story of the movie revolves around a peaceful undersea civilization named Seatopia. When the people of Seatopia become upset about the nuclear testing happening in the Pacific Ocean, they decide to take action. They unleash their giant beetle-like kaiju, Megalon, and send him to wreak havoc on the world's major cities. At the same time, they also command their robotic creation, Gigan, to assist Megalon in the destruction.

As a result of Megalon's attack, the world's governments become desperate for a solution. The only chance they have is to call upon Godzilla, the only monster with a chance of stopping Megalon and Gigan. Unfortunately, at the beginning of the movie, Godzilla is sleeping, and the world must face the full force of Megalon's attack without any help.

Later in the movie, the scientists studying the Seatopian culture track down a man named Jet Jaguar. Jet Jaguar is an amazing robot developed by a scientist named Goro Ibuki. With Jet Jaguar under their control, the team discovers that they have the power to control him in his battles. In other words, they have a powerful weapon that could turn the tide of the battle against Megalon and Gigan.

The action in Godzilla vs. Megalon is non-stop. The city is attacked by Megalon, and the government and Jet Jaguar come together to stop them. Jet Jaguar needs to fight more than just Megalon to beat the odds, and the action is intense. Gigan uses his buzzsaw to try to take down Jet Jaguar, and Megalon uses his drills and explosive powers. Jet Jaguar must find a way to defeat his opponents or watch his and the world's destruction.

With an exciting story and lots of giant monster action, Godzilla vs. Megalon is a classic monster movie. The special effects are a bit dated, but they still hold up surprisingly well. The music of the film was composed by Riichiro Manabe and is classic 1970s science fiction. The action scenes are fast-paced, with a lot of thrills to keep the viewer engaged.

The ensemble cast is mostly comprised of veteran actors. Katsuhiko Sasaki is the lead actor in the film, playing a scientist who helped create Jet Jaguar. Hiroyuki Kawase plays Goro Ibuki, the lead scientist who created Jet Jaguar. Finally, Yutaka Hayashi appears as a Seatopian leader who plots to use Megalon.

Overall, if you're a fan of giant monster movies, Godzilla vs. Megalon is a must-see. With a classic fight between two iconic kaiju and an excellent supporting cast, this movie is sure to keep you entertained from start to finish. The two-hour running time flies by with the non-stop action and tense moments between the monsters, making it one of the better entries in the Godzilla franchise.

Godzilla vs. Megalon is a 1973 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 21 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.8.
