Guess Who

Guess Who, is a comedic movie that was made in 2005. This movie starts out with a black woman who is dating a white guy. The interracial couple has concerns about what other people might think about their relationship. In the start of the movie, the boyfriend gets fired from his job. He hides this fact from his girlfriend, that he is now without a job. He and his girlfriend will take a trip, and spend some time with her family. The couple also want the parent's approval of their relationship. When the boyfriend arrives, he is not taken in by her father.

While trying everything under the sun to try to please her father during their stay, nothing wins him over. The father simply doesn't like the boyfriend because he is white. The mother of the girlfriend is getting fed up with him acting out of touch in the relationship. The mother also doesn't like the way the boyfriend has been treated by the father. She leaves the father, so she can have some time to think about her life with him.

With some bonding, and a little pep talk from the boyfriend, the father will make his move to get his wife back. He finally gets his wife back. Because of the bonding time they had, the father now approves the interracial relationship. He realizes that his daughter is all grown up now, and he has to trust her choices and judgment calls. The father understands fully now, that no matter if he approves or not, they will still be together. He also knows that love is a powerful thing, and he must respect the love they have for each other. And just like nothing will separate him and his wife, the same is true for his daughter and her boyfriend. In the end, everyone learned a lot about themselves. They learned about the importance of love, relationships, truth, family, other skin colors, and new beginnings.
