Gulliver's Travels is movie about a lonely man named Lemuel Gulliver, who has been working for years in the mail room of a major newspaper. After a newly hired coworker is promoted above him in record time, Gulliver decides it is it is finally time for him to leave the mail room and become a writer. So, he bluffs his way into being hired by the travel editor (the girl of his dreams) as a new travel writer.
Gulliver is then sent to research the Bermuda Triangle up close and personal. While exploring on his boat, a nasty storm hits and Gulliver is sucked into a huge whirlpool. He wakes up the next morning to find himself tied to the ground on the island of Lilliput. He soon realizes that the men who have tied him down are about a 10th of his size.
At first, the tiny Lilliputlians see Gulliver as a bit of a freak. They chain him up in the dungeon and then put him to work in the fields of Lilliput. However, the people of Lilliput are soon attacked by their arch enemies, the Blefuscians, who attempt to kidnap the beloved Princess. When Lilliput's self-centered army general fails to save the day, the job is left to none other than Lemuel Gulliver. He defeats the Blefuscians with his great size and wins the battle for Lilliput.
Gulliver is no longer a second class citizen in this new and strange land. He is now a loved and respected protector. The tiny Lilliputlians honor him by throwing a feast and building Gulliver his dream house on the beach. Unfortunately, as Gulliver's status grows, so does his ego. He begins to fib about his past and take credit for the great inventions of his home world.
But, when his lies put his new friends in danger, Gulliver must find a way to right the wrongs he has committed. It is only then that he learns that it's not the size of one's status or stature that matter. What matters is the size of one's heart.
