Hard Luck Hero is a Japanese action-comedy film released on December 6, 2003, directed by SABU, and produced by Toshiaki Nakazawa. At first, Teru is skeptical and terrified. He has no interest in getting involved with the yakuza or saving anyone's life. But Kozu is persistent, and he makes Teru an offer he can't refuse - help him out, and he'll pay off all of Teru's debts and set him up with a cozy new apartment. With no other options, Teru reluctantly agrees.

What follows is a wild and wacky adventure that sees Teru thrown into one insane scenario after another. He's forced to dress up like a superhero and battle yakuza goons, participate in illegal street races, and even perform a death-defying stunt on a motorcycle. Along the way, he meets a cast of colorful characters, including a beautiful nurse named Sakura (Kyoko Koizumi), who becomes his love interest, and a rival yakuza boss named Hanada (Yoshihiko Inohara), who wants Teru dead.

Despite his reluctance and utter lack of skills, Teru somehow manages to stumble his way through each challenge and emerge victorious. He begins to believe in himself and even starts to enjoy the adrenaline rush of being a hero. But as he gets deeper into the dangerous world of the yakuza, he realizes that his actions have consequences and that Kozu is not the altruistic hero he pretends to be.

Hard Luck Hero is a hilarious and action-packed movie that blends over-the-top comedy with gritty crime drama.
