Haywire is a 2011 action thriller film directed by Steven Soderbergh, starring Gina Carano as the lead actress, along with Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Channing Tatum, and Michael Angarano in the supporting roles. The film follows a covert operative named Mallory Kane (Gina Carano) who is hired by various governments to undertake dangerous missions. However, after a job goes wrong, she finds herself on the run and seeking revenge.

The film begins with Mallory Kane walking into a coffee shop in Upstate New York after being badly beaten. She calls her boss, Kenneth (Ewan McGregor) and tells him what happened. She then flashes back to several weeks before when she was on a mission in Barcelona to rescue a Chinese journalist who was being held hostage. Her partner in the mission is Paul (Michael Fassbender), and their job goes smoothly until things take a turn for the worse.

Mallory soon learns that she has been set up and that Paul has been tasked with killing her. Mallory manages to fend Paul off and escapes back to the United States. Determined to get to the bottom of the situation, she heads to Dublin to meet with Kenneth, who hired her for the mission. However, even he seems to have a hidden agenda, and she realizes that she cannot trust anyone.

Mallory turns to her father (Bill Paxton), a former marine, for help. Together, they hatch a plan to get her out of the country and expose the people who set her up. However, her pursuers are not willing to let her go that easily. A high-speed car chase in the streets of Dublin ensues, and Mallory manages to escape with the help of a young man named Scott (Michael Angarano).

As Mallory's past continues to catch up with her, she realizes that she must take matters into her own hands. She decides to confront her nemesis in person and heads to New Mexico where a final showdown takes place. Mallory is forced to fight for her life against someone who was once close to her, and the action-packed sequence keeps the audience on the edge of their seats.

The film is notable for Gina Carano's impressive performance as a tough, no-nonsense heroine. She does all her stunts herself, and her fighting style is a mix of Muay Thai and Brazilian jiujitsu. Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender deliver strong performances as well, adding their own twists to the mysterious characters they play. Channing Tatum also appears in a supporting role, playing an agent who works with Mallory.

Director Steven Soderbergh does a great job of keeping the pace of the movie fast and intense. The film has a slick, stylish look that complements the action scenes perfectly. The music, composed by David Holmes, sets the mood for each scene and adds to the overall atmosphere of the movie.

Overall, Haywire is an entertaining action-thriller that keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. It's a perfect showcase for Gina Carano's abilities as an action star, and it features an ensemble cast that delivers excellent performances all around. The movie is filled with twists and turns, and the final showdown is both intense and satisfying. Haywire is a must-see for anyone who enjoys a good action movie.
