Watch Herakles

The debut of acclaimed German director Werner Herzog and takes a different view of the 12 labors of Heracles. In this experimental film the movie opens with posed shots of a group of bodybuilders as they work out and pose in different ways. Following this the 12 labors are depicted using a series of images of the aftermath of the task being completed or in process. Images of women marching are used to depict the Amazonian women Heracles battles and the conquering of giants is depicted by the rubble following the demolition of an apartment block.
