In the 1999 action-thriller movie 'Hitman's Run', Eric Roberts portrays a hitman named Tom Holly. Tom Holly is trying to escape his current lifestyle after deciding he no longer wants to be a part of the Mafia's violent criminal activities. After faking his own death, he takes on the identity of a man named Warren Selvy and moves to a small town where he plans to start a new life.

The movie follows Tom Holly's journey as he tries to leave his criminal past behind him. However, his plan goes awry when a high-ranking mobster named Lyle Dehling (played by Craig Rainey) catches wind of his newfound identity and location. Dehling sends his best hitman (Esteban Powell) and a group of thugs to track and kill Holly, forcing him to flee once again.

Aiding Holly in his escape is a young man named Joey Raoul (played by C. Thomas Howell), who owes Holly a favor from a previous encounter. They embark on a dangerous journey, evading Dehling's men at every turn.

Throughout 'Hitman's Run', the viewer is taken on a thrilling ride filled with suspense, danger, and close calls. As Lyle Dehling's pursuit of Tom Holly continues, it becomes increasingly clear that Holly's past is catching up to him, and he will eventually have to face his demons.

The performances in 'Hitman's Run' are solid. Eric Roberts delivers a convincing performance as Tom Holly, a hitman with a conscience. C. Thomas Howell's portrayal of Joey Raoul is equally impressive, providing humor, charm, and a sense of loyalty. Esteban Powell's performance as Dehling's hitman is menacing, adding an element of danger to the movie.

The direction and production of 'Hitman's Run' are also noteworthy. The pacing of the movie remains consistent throughout, picking up the pace during the action-packed scenes and slowing down during the more emotional moments. The scenery choices also add depth to the story, particularly the small towns and rural areas where Holly and Raoul hide from Dehling's men.

Overall, 'Hitman's Run' is an engaging thriller with plenty of action and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Despite its age, the film has aged well and holds up as an entertaining movie to watch today.

Hitman's Run is a 1999 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 33 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.2.
