Horrid Henry: The Movie is a 2011 British comedy film based on the popular children's book series by Francesca Simon. Theo Stevenson stars as the titular Horrid Henry, a mischievous and rebellious young boy who is constantly getting into trouble at school and at home. Richard E. Grant and Parminder Nagra also star as Henry's parents, who struggle to control their son's wild behavior.

The film follows Horrid Henry as he schemes to get the best of his nemesis, Moody Margaret (played by Scarlett Stitt), who has just moved in next door. Along with his loyal best friend, Perfect Peter (Ross Marron), Horrid Henry hatches a plan to ruin Margaret's birthday party and reclaim his title as the most notorious kid in school. But when things go awry and Henry gets himself into even more trouble, he must find a way to redeem himself and prove that he's not such a horrid kid after all.

The movie is directed by Nick Moore, who previously worked on the hit comedy film Wild Child, and features an all-star cast of British actors. The script was written by Lucinda Coxon, who adapted the story from the Horrid Henry books.

One of the film's biggest strengths is its sense of humor. The jokes are silly and irreverent, but always delivered with a wink and a nod to the audience. Horrid Henry is a likeable troublemaker, and his antics are sure to make kids giggle and adults chuckle. Richard E. Grant and Parminder Nagra are also hilarious as Henry's clueless but well-meaning parents, who are constantly at their wits' end trying to deal with their unruly son.

Another highlight of the film is its vibrant and colorful visuals. The movie is filled with bright, eye-catching sets and costumes, making it a feast for the eyes. The world of Horrid Henry is whimsical and cartoonish, perfectly capturing the tone of the books.

The young cast, led by Theo Stevenson, are all excellent in their roles. The actors bring a sense of energy and enthusiasm to their performances, making even the most absurd moments feel believable. Scarlett Stitt is also a standout as Moody Margaret, delivering a delightfully over-the-top performance as Henry's arch-nemesis.

While the movie is clearly geared towards kids, there are plenty of nods to adults as well. The film is peppered with references to pop culture and other films, giving older viewers something to chuckle at even if they're not familiar with the source material.

Overall, Horrid Henry: The Movie is a fun and silly romp that's sure to delight kids and adults alike. The film is filled with colorful characters, infectious humor, and plenty of heart. It's a great adaptation of the popular book series, and a must-see for fans of the books or anyone looking for a good laugh.

Horrid Henry: The Movie is a 2011 kids & family movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 33 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.6.
